Choosing the right tires for your trekking bike is crucial for comfortable and enjoyable off-road riding. Here is a short guide on how to choose tires for a trekking bike:

Recommended tire size: See your bike's specifications. Common trekking tire sizes usually range from 26 inches, 27.5 inches or 28/29 inches. Choose the size that is suitable for the frame of your bike.
Tire type:
- Tubeless: without an inner tube, less prone to punctures and can be used at lower pressures for better comfort and grip.
- With inner tube: do not need special installation, sealant, valves and tubeless tape, they are heavier.
Pattern profile: For the terrain, choose a tire with an aggressive pattern. Deep patterns improve traction on uneven surfaces such as rocks, gravel and mud. For road riding, choose a smooth pattern for better rolling and lower resistance.
Puncture protection: Tires with reinforced Kevlar fibres or other layers increase protection against punctures. This is especially important when trekking, where you may encounter stones and difficult terrain.
TPI (threads per inch): A higher TPI generally means a more flexible tire that offers better comfort and performance.
