Ghost Kato FS Base bike
Take the proven AMR frame, suspension with 130mm of travel and add a solid selection of Shimano and SRAM components - that's the recipe for success for the Kato FS mountain bike. This full-suspension bike feels especially comfortable on long hikes, even in alpine terrain, and on quick errand rides where instant power is needed. A good choice for cyclists with high demands, but who do not necessarily need the most expensive components.The modern geometry of the SuperFit® frame is adjusted during development according to a carefully created algorithm, based on tens of thousands of biometric data of riders of different heights. The next step is to optimize the length of the cranks, stem and handlebar width. The whole concept of ideal geometry is fine-tuned with 27.5" chainrings on fixed axles for sizes XS-S and 29" chainrings for taller riders (M-XL).
The bike will fulfil its purpose, riding in the terrain will be a little more comfortable, but it is not built for frequent riding in difficult terrain. You have to expect heavier weight and regular tuning and maintenance of components.
Aluminium frame
Lighter, relatively durable and stiff material that is affordable. The most widespread material for the production of bicycle frames.
27.5” wheels
Universal size for a wide range of bicycles. The advantage is better cross-country ability, higher traction and comfort, and still good dexterity. Slightly heavier.
Hydraulic disc brakes
Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.
Coil fork
Provides adequate comfort and is usually installed on bicycles for recreational and less demanding riding. The disadvantage is its relatively heavy weight.
Air shock
When buying a bicycle, it is necessary to set it to the required pressure according to the weight of the rider (specified by the manufacturer of the shock absorber, a shop assistant can also help you). Can provide several ride and suspension adjustment options. Requires regular check-up and is also more demanding to service. Compared to the spring one, it is significantly lighter.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.
- The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
- The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
- The bicycle is carefully packaged back into a box and shipped
- If you order a bike for in-person pick-up or home delivery, the bike will be waiting for you assembled and checked
- If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
- Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
- Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
- Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
- Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
- Mount seat post to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
- Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
- Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
