The 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless for disc brakes uses a hookless tubeless rim profile that ensures a smooth transition between tire and rim while significantly reducing weight. The 858 offers the benefits of high rims, but weighs as much as wheels with a 20mm lower profile. The 23mm internal rim width is ideal for wider tires with lower pressure, resulting in lower rolling resistance. TSE technology thus helps overcome the four main enemies of speed: air resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration.The wavy Sawtooth profile with a height of 82–85 mm represents Zipp's most efficient design in terms of aerodynamics and crosswind stability. The result is pure speed – ideal for triathletes, time trialists and all riders who want to go all out. Although the set is optimized for tubeless tires, it can also be used with tubeless tires without any problems. It achieves the highest performance with tires with a width of 28 mm. Additionally, in triathlon, wider tubeless tires with lower pressures increase comfort and speed, which means less fatigue before the run.
The equipment includes a top-of-the-line ZR1 SL hub with ceramic bearings and 66 engagement points for fast and precise power transfer.
