The road wheels, along with the frame of the bicycle components, fundamentally affect its riding properties and appearance. Before buying consider material (aluminum, aluminum / carbon, carbon), wear (tubular, tire), rim height (lower hills, higher plain), number of spikes (stiffness), nut design (Shimano / SRAM, Campagnolo), load capacity, rim width and today also the type of brakes (classic, disc).
