FFWD RAW CS 55 28" wheel set

The absolute highlight of the offer is the RAW CS wheel series (CS stands for Carbon Spokes). The rim uses LAW TECH technology, where LAW stands for "Laminar Airflow Wing", just like the RYOT wheel line. This proprietary FFWD design optimizes aerodynamics and stiffness especially when used with wider shoes. The wheels are designed primarily for road use and are optimized for perfect power transmission and airflow.

For the RAW CS wheel series , the rims were modified, the number of wires was reduced to 21 and completely newly developed hubs in cooperation with the Danish brand Ceramic Speed. The one for FFWD produces bearings with a larger diameter for higher resistance and durability (it is not a standard size!). The hub itself has a special flange for the heads of carbon wires, a lightweight nut and the overall quality of the hub is at the level of the Swiss DT Swiss, including their star-ratchet system.

The braid is made of carbon wires of the highest quality, which have a tensile strength of at least 2000N (the best steel wires have around 1600N). The wire is clamped using a two-component nipple, so it is replaceable and serviceable. The number of wires was deliberately reduced from 24 to 21, because the string shows much better properties and better dampens vibrations while maintaining uncompromising stiffness.
