Giro Cinder MIPS helmet
The design of the Cinder MIPS helmet is at first glance inspired by the top model Synthe and also offers similar features that those who are serious about cycling will appreciate: low weight, high-quality ventilation or premium Air-Fx linings.MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and meet the valid European standard: EN 1078. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only in the order of millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transferred to the brain.

Naozaj veľmi pohodová prilba, na hlave vôbec neomíňa. Ešte je potrebné ju otestovať v lete pri vyšších teplotách. Zatiaľ však spokojnosť.

Prilba mi bola úzka na bokoch, aj keď iný model od Gira rovnakej veľkosti mi sedí dobre, ale to je OK - riziko bez vyskúšania. Najväčším problémom Cinderu pre mňa bola ale MIPS vložka, akoby len vystrihnutá z plastovej fľaše. Ostré hrany na holej hlave - no katastrofa, mali dať poznámku "hairy riders only". Zadné nastavenie výšky upínania v 3 úrovniach veľmi ľahko pri manipulácii vyskočilo z nastavenej polohy - čo bolo dosť otravné pri každom nasadení prilby opravovať. V tejto cenovej úrovni som čakal viac. Mám od Gira lacnejší model Agilis a ten je ako z inej galaxie - všetko sedí, drží, nič netlačí.
