POC Ventral MIPS helmet
The POC Ventral MIPS model sets a new standard in terms of aerodynamic properties, safety and ventilation in road cycling helmets. During its development, the POC brand used feedback from professional Pro Tour racers and aerodynamics experts at WATTS laboratories. The rich experience of POC engineers and extensive calculations and simulation of aerodynamic resistance were also used. Thanks to this, the Ventral helmet got its unique shape, which makes it the fastest and safest POC road helmet since its inception.The excellent aerodynamic properties of the helmet are mainly due to the fact that the air coming from the front is guided through the helmet, not around it, which significantly reduces air resistance. In addition, the Ventral MIPS model uses specially adapted air ducts to create pressure zones that, thanks to the Venturi effect, increase the speed of the air flow and thus allow the helmet to pass through the air with even greater ease.
In the places where the air leaves the helmet, there is a specially shaped outflow edge, which prevents turbulence and extends the linear flow of air behind the helmet. This again increases the aerodynamic performance of this protective sophisticated aid.
At the same time, air flow zones ensure excellent ventilation and cooling, enhancing the overall functionality of the helmet.
