Garmin Edge 520 Plus Sensor Bundle GPS navigation
Wireless cycling navigation with GPS and GLONASS, packaging with chest belt, speed and cadence sensor, cycle map of Europe, possibility of navigating along pre-recorded routes.
The Garmin Edge 520 Plus navigation is similar in size and shape to its predecessor, the Garmin Edge 520, but it brings several new functions and improvements - such as a cycle map of Europe with the ability to navigate along pre-recorded created routes, with detour alerts and recalculation of the route in the event of a bad diversions. The "Back to start" function is available, which navigates you back to the place from which you started your walk.
Groups of cyclists will definitely appreciate the GroupTrack and Rider-to-Rider messaging functions. GroupTrack will allow you to track the current position of group members on the map. As the name Rider-to-Rider messaging already suggests, this function enables correspondence with all group members who also have it - you can send pre-created messages to other group members directly from the navigation to the navigation (e.g. if you have a puncture while riding, etc.) functions require pairing with a mobile phone and internet connection - mobile data.
Other useful features include accident detection with automatic sending of a message with your current coordinates. A very clear, light-readable, 2.3" color non-touch display displays up to 10 values simultaneously on one screen.
Part of the equipment is a barometric altimeter for recording the ride, thanks to which a graph of the height profile of the route is available with the total elevation, ascended and descended meters.
Using wireless ANT + technology, navigation allows pairing with external speed, cadence and heart rate sensors, as well as Vector wattmeters, with remote control, reverse cycle radar and Varia variable lights, as well as with VIRB action cameras.
If you use a heart rate sensor, the device also informs you about your overall condition, VO2 Max values and, depending on the difficulty of the training, will recommend a rest period.
To measure cycling dynamics and improve riding style, the device, together with the Vector wattmeter, will provide you with information on the total delivered power, separately for the left and right leg, the balance of the left and right leg, the place and axis of the force on the pedals.
You can transfer all your rides to the Garmin Connect online training log, where you can find an overview of all rides and training, including measured data and clear graphs. Navigation supports Strava segments, thanks to which you can compare your performances with previously achieved results, other users, or compete virtually.
Using the Connect IQ platform, you can customize the appearance of the screen and add other applications you use . The battery life of the Garmin Edge 520 Plus navigation is up to 15 hours.
