In studies conducted on riders of different focus and physical fitness, it is shown that a greater degree of comfort (increased padding) can have a very positive effect in two cases. The first one is shorter training sessions for less fit cyclists who are not used to the saddle (about two hours) and the second one, on the contrary, is the ultra-marathon concept of cycling with performances lasting 6-8 hours or more. For the standard cycling performance of a fit individual (3-5 hours in the saddle), a high-quality insert in the pants in combination with a more competitively conceived saddle padding proves to be more advantageous.|
