Union was founded in January 1899 by Wilhelm Feuerhake in Fröndenberg (Germany) under the name "Wilhelm Feuerhake & Co.". Feuerhake began manufacturing bicycle chains with 13 workers in rented premises. Today, the company manufactures and distributes bicycle components such as pedals, hubs, chains, cycling tools, brake shoes, locks, cycle computers, batteries and dynamo lighting systems, as well as various other cycling parts and accessories under the UNION® brand - worldwide.
