Hope's Floating disc brakes are popular among mountain bikers as they optimize performance and are easy striking. These rotors have a stainless steel braking surface riveted to an aluminium central carrier. As well as offering a significant weight saving, they also allow the rotors to expand or contract with changes in temperature

SK Iné kotúče na MTB a cesťáku už nepoužívam, dlhá výdrž a brzdný účinok je pre mňa vyhovujúca aj s použitím metalických platničiek. Neviem ako teraz, ale jediná nevýhoda bola, že som musel pri Shimano brzdách trochu brúsiť strmene pre nity na kotúči. Zdá sa, že súčasné verzie tento problém už nemajú (neviem porovnať, strmene mám už aj tak zbrúsené )

SK V komentároch píšete, že kotúč je možné použiť aj s brzdami Saint 820. Predchádzajúce modely však mali problém s nitmi, ktoré zachádzali do brzdového strmeňa a bolo ich nutné obrúsiť. Vedeli by ste mi prosím potvrdiť či tento problém stále pretrváva? Vďaka

SK Dobrý deň,

tak ako píšete, pri starších modeloch kotúčov Hope a strmeňov Shimano bol problém s malou vzdialenosťou medzi telom brzdy a nitmi na kotúčoch. V upragdnutých verziách Hope kotúčov už tento problém neregistrujeme - myslím, že od r. 2019 alebo 2020 došlo k miernej úprave tvaru Hope kotúčov, ich použitie teda bude aj s BR-M820tkami bezproblémové.

SK Dobrý deň,

Štandardom sú dnes 180mm kotúče ale niektorý výrobcovia ešte robia aj 183mm, rozdiel je len v samotnej veľkosti. Tieto kotúče môžete použiť aj pre brzdy Saint.
