Maxxis Assegai 29x2.50" WT EXO+ TR 3C Maxx Grip tire

A new tire called Assegai. Even Greg Minnaar, three-time world champion, three-time overall world cup winner and legend of this sport, collaborated on the development of the new pattern. "My idea was to design a tire that reflects the iconic designs of the Maxxis brand," says Greg Minnaar. "I started in the middle of the sample with a combination of Minion DHF and Minion DHR II. The reason was that the DHF rolls well and gives confidence on hard ground, corners, wet roots and stones. The DHR II added speed and aggressiveness when braking. Later, I added extra teeth to get a better wheel expression under load and a consistent feel all the way to the side lugs. I can't even forget my favourite tire - the High Roller. Together with the experts at Maxxis, we created redesigned side thread that have very similar characteristics to the original. But with the new support, they are also excellent when turning on flat ground. Finally, I took the tread height from the Shorty. As the threads are well supported, the additional height can bite into the ground in dry and dusty conditions."

SK Overená klasika - asi najpopulárnejší predný plášť na AM/EN/DH.
Valivý odpor je citeľne vyšší oproti DHF V Maxxgripe rovnakej šírky.
Vynikajúce vlastnosti pri naklápaní v zákrutách - narozdiel od DHF má tzv. "Transfer" štuple - a teda nieje treba bicykel úplne položiť pre zachovanie vysokej miery gripu.
To má ale jednu nevýhodu pri jazde vo vlhku alebo blate - plášť horšie čistí.
EXO+ mi príde ako fajn kompromis medzi odolnosťou a poddajnosťou.
Celkovo, v cene za ktorú sa dá na MTbikeri kúpiť (45€+-) nemá podľa mňa na ťažšie enduro alebo DH konkurenciu

SK Zdravím, plánujem zámemu predného plášťa Maxxis Ikon EXO MaxxSpeed. Potrebujem o niečo výraznejší a prilnavejší dezén plášta. Zároveň aby bol valivý odpor v ,,norme,,.... mám preferovať MAXXIS Forekaster alebo ASSEGAI.

HU Nekem nagyon bejött az Assegai, de érdemes mélyebben körbejárni az opciókat, mert rengeteg változat van belőle és számíthatnak a különbségek. Javaslom akár (egy jól megírt prompt-tal) bevonni az Ai-t is, nekem az is sokat segített eligazodni...😉

Assegai je plast s uz naozaj vyraznym dezenom, vhodny aj na jazdenie vo velmi tazkom terene. Jedna sa v tomto pripade o najprilnavejsiu zmes, oproti Ikonu v MaxxSpeed zmesi to bude obrovsky rozdiel - avsak aj negativne v tom valivom odpore, a samozrejme hmotnosti.
Takze vzdy je to o kompromisoch, a samozrejme samotnej povahe jazdenia.
