Product description

The brand new CXR 2 WheelSystem braided wheels are designed specifically for gravel bikes and excel primarily in high stiffness and strength at a very low weight. With an improved carbon ply layout, innovative hookless design and increased internal rim width, the CXR 2 wheels are just as strong as our XCR 2 mountain bike wheels, but at a lighter weight.

PROPERTIES
hookless carbon rims (hookless rim feet) - hookless technology increases the overall durability of the rim and also allows for greater internal width without increasing weight
optimized distribution of carbon layers includes carbon fibers with high tensile strength located in the most important structural points - the result is stiff, flexible and light wheels
the higher rim profile (35 mm) together with the larger inner width is ideal for the use of wider tires, which are the absolute standard on gravel bikes today

rim parameters: height 35 mm, outer width 31 mm, inner width 25 mm (ETRTO: 622-25)
Giant Tubeless System - rims are tubeless (tape and valves are part of the set)
rims are designed for 38-40 mm gravel tires, but also accommodate MTB tires up to 2.3" wide
front hub: Giant Al Loy, sealed bearings
rear hub: Giant Alloy, encapsulated bearings, Shimano HG nut, ratchet system (3-Pawl 30T)

Giant was established in 1971 in Taiwan, they are one of the largest bicycle producers in the world. In the beginning, they made bikes for other companies. Since 1981 Giant has been supplying the market with bicycles under their name. They were one of the first companies to start mass production of carbon framesets. Liv is their brand for bikes for women offering MTB, road and gravel bikes. Components are also included in their offer as well as wheelsets under the name Cadex (their brand name).
