Giant SLR1 50 DB RW 28" rear wheel

The new SLR 1 50 Disc wheels combine aerodynamic efficiency and minimized power losses in a lightweight package designed for all-round road performance. The SLR 1 50 has a 50mm aerodynamic rim profile for efficiency on the flat and dynamic quality of traffic on hillier roads. Hookless rims with a wide internal width offer more support for large-volume tires along with increased sidewall stiffness for better grip and cornering.

50 mm high hookless aero rims proven by wind tunnel testing provide maximum aerodynamic advantage
High tensile carbon fibers are placed only in the most important places to ensure optimal stiffness and at the same time a light weight that is best in its class
Hookless rim construction saves weight and creates a larger 22.4mm internal rim width for more actual tire contact area, resulting in better traction and compliance
Rim bead with a thickness of up to 3.8 mm on each side for increased stiffness and more support for better cornering
Dynamic Balanced Lacing (DBL) technology creates a stiffer and more efficient stringer as the wider hub flange increases the angle of the spokes for superior power transfer
Low-friction hubs with precision-machined internals eliminate excessive bearing stress, reducing bearing friction, reducing rolling resistance and minimizing power losses

Since 1981 Giant has been supplying the market with bicycles under their name. They were one of the first companies to start mass production of carbon framesets. Liv is their brand for bikes for women offering MTB, road and gravel bikes. Components are also included in their offer as well as wheelsets under the name Cadex (their brand name).
