The WIND 75 is the best choice for those looking for maximum speed and access to the FULCRUM carbon range.
This high profile wheel is the best expression of all the aerodynamic research and development that the manufacturers have done. The ultra aero profile makes it the ideal bike for time trials, triathlons and all situations where aerodynamics play a role and when you pedal at high speed. The most important aspects for riders of the Wind 75 DB are the exceptional price/performance ratio, which makes this fast bike more affordable compared to the SPEED range, and the option to purchase only the rear wheel.
The challenge of the project was to achieve high values of air penetration and speed without compromising the stability and handling of the wheel, despite the height of the profile. FULCRUM achieved this through thorough testing in the wind tunnel, which resulted in a new unidirectional carbon rim profile with internal and external dimensions matching current trends: 27mm rim width and 19mm channel width.
The rim is 2-WAY FIT™ tubeless from the start. It does not need any sealing tape, which simplifies and lightens the connection of the tire to the rim thanks to the processing of the rim of Mo-Mag™ technologies. The rim is thus stiffer and more durable without holes. The spokes are double cut, rounded and straight drawn (the best aerodynamic shape) and the nipples are aluminum. Sealed cartridge bearings housed in aluminum hubs were chosen for both the front and rear wheels.
