BEAL Escaper emergency rappelling system
The BEAL Escaper is a patented special aid that provides the easiest way to safely and quickly abseil down a wall, one strand at a time. The entire system is based on a Prusik, which firmly holds the end of the Escaper rope under load (rappelling). After rappelling, simply pull the rope hard 8-12 times and then release it completely, which will cause the Prusik to loosen until the end of the rope passes through the rappelling eye (thread) and falls towards you with the end of the rope tied to it. The Beal Escaper is a certified modification of a method that was used in practice by a small group of climbers for forced rapid retreat from the top. It takes up almost no space, weighs almost nothing, and all its parts are easily visually inspected. The correct locking procedure is perfectly drawn directly on the durable textile packaging in which the Escaper is delivered. The Escaper can be combined with all types of ropes from 7.3 mm in diameter (Beal Gully Unicore).
