The biggest difference is that with the MASAI model, the design was optimized for maximum efficiency when climbing on micro steps. Thanks to the lacing, the climbing shoes can be adapted to almost any bulky foot. They fit great and climbing in them is extremely comfortable. As you probably already know, MASAI will support you the most when climbing vertical and slightly overhanging walls or similar bouldering.

  • Suitable for vertical and slightly overhanging rock climbing.
  • Easy and comfortable to wear.
  • A perfectly balanced set of properties for great performance in rock faces.
  • Perfectly accurate when climbing on small edges, ledges or in crevices.
  • Lacing with a large range for any bulky feet.
  • A perfect combination of performance and comfort.

BALANCE FOR LINE – balanced climbing frames

Climbing shoes Tenaya MASAI belong to the BALANCE PRO LINE range. As the name suggests, these are powerful climbers in all directions and you can easily get maximum performance from them on different types of rock or artificial wall. Due to their characteristics, they will be most suitable for long slightly overhanging routes that combine bouldering problems, cruxes and technical climbing on small steps.

  • Rigidity (hardness) 3.5/5 – medium hard/hard. The higher the number, the harder the climb. For harder climbs, the steps can be loaded with more force.
  • Sensitivity 3.5/5 – moderately sensitive/sensitive. The higher the number and thus the greater the sensitivity, the more information you can find out about the step you are standing on.
  • FWR (foot width) 3/5 – the FWR value expresses how well the climbing shoe can adapt to the width of the foot. In general, with larger FWR values, climbing shoes will fit a wider foot better.

You can withstand practically anything

Climbing shoes of the Spanish manufacturer Tenaya, model MASAI, are designed for climbing vertical rock walls, where steps are often absent or difficult to notice. Micro steps, cracks, rajbas or corner climbing. The "Maasai" are at home everywhere here. You can use them great even when fooling around in the Alpine or Tatra walls all day.
