The cornerstone is the proven 2.5L Pertex Shield membrane with parameters 20,000/20,000. This refers to the water column and breathability according to the B-1 method. Both of these values are among the best a runner can wish for. The 20,000 mm water column, supported by a DWR surface treatment, will withstand even intense downpours in higher mountain areas, and the 20,000 B-1 breathability ensures effective sweat wicking even during high-intensity activity. These values easily meet the criteria for all trail running races where a waterproof jacket is part of the mandatory equipment.
In addition to technical parameters, the sophisticated cut is also important, thanks to which the jacket does not flap anywhere and fits perfectly without restricting freedom of movement. This also applies to the adjustable hood, which is definitely a must-have.
Another key feature is packability. The STORMSHELL packs into its own pocket, resulting in a miniature package that fits even in a trouser pocket or bum bag and takes up virtually no space in a backpack.
