A proven classic for winter adventurers and all winter chills. Devold Expedition are products designed for harsh winter conditions, which experienced mountaineers and polar explorers have been returning to for years.

As part of sustainability and increasing product quality, the manufacturer replaced the polyamide component of the fiber with its 100% natural alternative - silk. It now guarantees even better material durability and a more pleasant feeling when wearing.

About wool

  • wool perfectly insulates, thus helping the body's natural thermoregulation
  • warms even when wet, is odor-resistant, quick-drying and perfectly wicks sweat away from the body
  • material that respects the environment and your health: wool does not need to be washed as often as other natural or synthetic materials - thanks to the lanolin in the fiber, it has self-cleaning properties and after use it is enough to let it dry and air out
  • can be washed in the washing machine on the wool program
  • Devold takes care of animal welfare, wool production is mulesing-free

Norse company Devold produces wool base layers. In 1853, Ole Andreas Devold founded this company in Ålesund. A tradition dating back as this one is unique - it is surely the oldest producer of the wool base layer in the world. Devold's base layers range from the light collection ''Breeze'' (which is best for the warmer months and sweatier activities) to the ''Expedition'' collection (best for very cold conditions). Other than base layers for every activity, they also make sweaters, headwear, gloves, socks and more.
