In-Mold technology, also used in the production of the Alpina PANOMA helmet, is a process in which the material of the inner shell is foamed into the outer shell of the helmet under high pressure and high temperature. The result is a complete connection and an extremely stable structure of the helmet at a low weight. Safety in the event of mechanical influences, e.g. when hitting a pointed object, it is therefore significantly higher for In-Mold helmets than for point-glued helmets.
