Maximum pedal grip is ensured not only by the DST 4.0 MAX GRIP racing rubber compound, but also by the optimized hexagonal tread pattern, which has wider (14 mm) and higher elements on the TNT and is therefore best suited for pedals with longer pins.They offer highly above-standard features (including unique D3O protective elements on the sole and ankle), durability, a top-notch design, and uncompromising quality. Foot protection is also provided by integrated protective elements on the toe and heel, complemented by a TPP medial midsole protector, a midsole with a higher absorption layer.
In addition, they provide increased ankle protection (reinforced with D3O elements on the ankle) and greater foot support thanks to a higher asymmetrical ankle construction along with a wide, stabilizing 40 mm Powerstrap Velcro strap over the laces.
The choice of materials and construction are adapted for use in harsher conditions, even in wet weather. Everything is fine-tuned to the smallest detail, whether it's a special construction that minimizes the number of necessary seams (and thus places where moisture can penetrate), special durable protective elements at the front and back, a special water-repellent surface treatment, gusseted tongues that prevent dirt and moisture from entering, or, for example, well-designed oval eyelets for the laces, which reduce the space for potential moisture penetration.
When riding, you will appreciate that they fit the foot excellently, are breathable, firm, and yet very comfortable. The rubber compound used for the sole is developed in cooperation with the iconic company Rubber Kinetics (Good Year) and, according to tests by independent media, fully competes with the best in the industry. The Hexagon tread pattern of the sole is also appreciated, which is differently tuned for each shoe model and its use, down to the smallest details, including the width of the gaps.
The sole with an EVA midsole combined with protective elements on the toe and heel, complemented by a unique insert with hi-tech D3O elements, will protect your feet from impacts and rebounds. Simply elite shoes for racing use, even in the most demanding conditions.
