Garmin Rally XC 200 powermeter pedals
Garmin Rally XC 200 pedals with wattmeter
The next generation of Garmin's revolutionary real power (W) measurement solution for cycling! Refined compact and extremely durable design of the Rally™ XC 200 pedals, compatible with the popular SPD platform. Thanks to this, it is very easy to reinstall the Rally™ XC 200 from one bike to another without the need for service assistance or the use of special tools - pedal key no. 15.Thanks to the extremely durable steel body of the pedals with the support of the SPD platform, the oi suitable for a gravel or cyclocross bike with the possibility of use for MTB cycling.
Construction of the power sensor
Piezoelectric resistance sensors, which are installed around the perimeter directly on the axis of the pedals, will take care of accurate and reliable power measurement. Sensors are calibrated and tested during production. Replaceable batteries 4 x LR44/SR44 or 2 x CR1/3N coin cell batteries for power are now integrated directly into the pedal shaft, along with an accelerometer to measure pedaling cadence. In short, the whole system works in such a way that piezoelectric sensors on the axis record the force exerted during pedaling and, in combination with other input data (crank length), calculates the output power in watts with high accuracy.
Available data output
Standard metrics provided by Vector on output - current and total power (W), power balance P/L% with tracking throughout activity, circuit or time intervals, pedaling cadence and more. Extended output is offered by oi data related to the analysis of already obtained data, which describe:
Cycling Dynamics - display of complete performance metrics on a compatible Edge, providing graphical output with information on time spent in the saddle/stance, power phases, power phases, pedal surface center balance (PCO), power phase angle, and more.
TE = Torgue Effectiveness - torque efficiency
Seated / Standing position - time of standing / sitting in the pedals
PS = Pedal Smoothness - smoothness of pedaling
IF = Intensity Factor - expresses the relationship between the effort expended and your maximum or quantification of the training intensity against the current level / abilities
TSS = Training Stress Score - a method of measuring the body's stress during driving. The TSS value helps to balance the intensity of the training and the subsequent regeneration of the body.
PP = Power Phase - the power phase provides valuable information about power application during the crank revolution.
NP = Normalized Power - estimated power that you could maintain if your output power is perfectly constant (constant) - also recalculated based on differences caused by e.g. strong wind / climbs, etc.
Physiological measurements - in combination with pulse measurement while riding through compatible devices, you get access to specific measurements for cycling:
FTP = Functional Threshold Power - the highest average power that you are able to maintain for 1 hour
VO2max = Test - estimation of aerobic endurance - maximum use of oxygen
