Lapierre ProRace CF 8.9 29 bike

A modern carbon hardtail with a geometry adapted to technical single trails as well as races in cross-country and marathons. However, the carbon frame is not the only novelty of this year's ProRace line. Thanks to the 3D Tubular concept, you disperse vibrations between the seat and handlebars, for greater comfort the seat tube is not directly connected to the seat stay and the frame has fully integrated cabling. Another advantage of this model is the SAT technology. It is an inserted elastomer between the main frame triangle and the rear struts.

Compared to the 7.9, the ProRace CF 8.9 model has a new Shimano XT sleeve shifter, which can be controlled in two ways (thumb like Sram or index finger). This quick and easy shifting increases the racer's concentration and control over the situation. Shifting is fully compatible with the new Shimano Deore XT cassette, chain and cranks. The ProRace CF 8.9 model has new Shimano Deore XT B-LM 8100 brakes with J-kit, which are high performance and stand out with an innovative ergonomic brake lever.

Professional cycling

For riders who prefer light weight, have high competition ambitions, and those who are looking for only the best that’s on the market. The installed components come from the manufacturers' highest sets, often complemented by carbon components. Regular professional service is required for proper functionality.

Carbon frame

Lightweight, stiff and at the same time still flexible material that absorbs shocks well and increases comfort. A higher price is to be expected.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.

Air fork

The best option in terms of weight and comfort. Provides more adjustment options (rebound, compression). Requires regular service - the service cycle is specified by the manufacturer.

29” wheels

The advantage is better terrain passability, better rolling and traction. However, they are heavier, which also applies to tires.

How we ship bikes

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:

The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
