Merino wool
Merino is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn next to the skin. It provides light resistance to water and thus prevents the unpleasant feeling of dampness. Unlike cotton, wool retains heat when wet. Merino also contains lanolin, which has antibacterial properties.
