These are rider-focused cycling pants, pure and simple. Made for riders who don't slow down in the winter, they're designed to cover the widest possible temperature range, from cold days to sub-freezing temperatures when full wind protection comes in handy. Although they look simple, the clean lines hide a lot of technology.
The pants are made of three different materials that provide proper coverage for every part of the body. The front, from the waist to the knees, is made of Castelli Core Due, a densely knitted, heavier-weight blend of polyester and nylon that blocks most wind. The polyester part is skin-friendly for active moisture wicking and the yarns have a hollow core, and this dead air space in the middle provides additional insulation. On the back of the thighs and buttocks, highly elastic fleece fabric helps to better adjust the fit. From knee to ankle, Castelli Thermoflex offers perfect warmth and elasticity, a single seam on the inside of the pants prevents chafing around the knee. The pants are finished with a flat, seamless ankle opening, flat knit braces and a KISS Air2 liner.
