The Free Aero RC is our top race-oriented short, which also means they're insanely comfortable, even if you never strap on a number. It's good to say that we've been working on developing these shorts for the last 15 years. It's been since the original Free Aero Race Shorts were first introduced as our top race pants. Since then, it has won 3x Tour de France, 3x Giro d'Italia, 1x Vuelta a San Remo, but it has also become the best-selling product in Castelli's history because, simply put, these are pants that are excellent from every angle.
The concept is quite simple: we started with the best cycling pad we could make, surrounded it with sports pants with good muscle support and compression, and finally removed everything that wasn't absolutely necessary.
