The Alpha Vest represents exactly the type of cycling clothing that seems inconspicuous at first glance, but in practice fundamentally changes comfort when riding in cold conditions. It was created in collaboration between Sportful and Polartec® as a thermal layer that effectively insulates and does not retain moisture. Polartec® Alpha® material was originally developed for the needs of military units and today is one of the most advanced insulations in the world. It retains heat during stops and immediately releases excess heat when the pace increases.

The special two-piece construction follows the body without pressure or friction, so the vest can be worn directly on the skin, over thin underwear, or under a windproof layer. The material has a low volume and dries quickly, making it a reliable base in changeable weather even during periods when temperatures hover around zero. The front zipper from the world-renowned manufacturer YKK® allows for quick dressing and heat regulation while riding.
When worn under a vest or jacket, it acts as a stabilizing thermal layer. It doesn't get in the way, doesn't snag, and doesn't create layers that would restrict movement. Visually, it remains hidden, but its impact on overall thermal comfort is immediately noticeable after wearing. VestAlpha is designed for riding in temperatures from -5°C to +5°C, on both the road and gravel. It is part of the limited edition Fresh Drop collection, which celebrates the long-term collaboration between Sportful × Polartec® and their shared approach to functional minimalism.

In 1946, the family Cremonese decided to open up a factory with knotted clothing. In the seventies, their apparel for cross-country skiing was unexpectedly very famous. Later, Sportful focused on cycling, and now we can enjoy Italian quality, professional or not. They sponsor professional and national teams in cross-country skiing and cycling. Even Slovak champion Peter Sagan and his co-cyclists from the team BORA-Hansgrohe wear clothing from this brand.
