Please note: The zipper is sewn asymmetrically (not in the middle of the jacket, but slightly to the side). This jacket is intended as an outer rain jacket, with the option of wearing it over other jackets, especially those that have zero waterproofness, such as Perfetto AIR and Diciotto. If the zipper was sewn straight, there would be friction between the jacket zipper and the bottom layer. It would also be a problem at the neck and under the chin - two runners on top of each other, two collars with a zipper, that's a guarantee of discomfort and various frictions. So Castelli solved this with an asymmetrical zipper.
Waterproof, packable jacket made of two-layer elastic Polartec® Weather Protection material. Designed as an extension for jackets with Ristretto technology, it can also be worn over a jersey without flapping in the wind and can be packed into a pocket.
No matter the time of year or where you live, it's always a good idea to have insurance and be prepared in case the weather turns bad. Developed with Ristretto technology, the Ultra Rain Cape jacket will give you peace of mind. Unlike most rain jackets, the two-layer elastic and adaptable material used on this jacket - Weather Protection Polartec®, resists the rain, but at the same time you can pack it into a small bag. The conforming material is flexible enough so the jacket can be worn over a jersey without flapping in the wind, but when it gets cold it can easily be layered over the Perfetto Air or Espresso Air jackets, so you can stay cool all year round with this jacket in your pocket .
