Castelli MORTIROLO 6S Jacket
Perfect jacket for mild winter, or for the rider who tends to overheat. This piece features a brushed GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric on the front and sleeves, while the back is devoid of membrane to allow moisture to escape. It is a non-race fit jacket that suits most body shapes.The Mortirolo jacket is designed to be a warm and comfortable jacket on cool days, while preventing overheating and moisture buildup inside the jacket. Choose this jacket for riding in cool but not freezing temperatures, or for high-intensity riding, or if you tend to sweat a lot.
It excels in a wide range of conditions, as long as it's not bitterly cold or raining. It's the combination of the right fabrics and construction that makes it work so well. The greatest exposure to cold is on the upper chest and shoulders, so a three-layer GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® X-Fast fabric with a luxurious fleece inside for extra warmth is used here. The lower part of the front is made of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric with a lightly brushed inner side. Both these fabrics provide 100% wind protection, excellent splash protection, and best-in-class breathability. The back is made of our brushed fleece, but it is not windproof, so it lets a lot of moisture escape outwards. You will stay dry, and thus warm and comfortable. The jacket has a neutral fit. It's not too tight, so there's room for another layer underneath, but it certainly won't flap in the wind.
