The FOX 36 Factory Grip X 29" suspension fork is a top-notch all-mountain and enduro solution for riders who want maximum racing performance without unnecessarily complicated setup. It offers 160 mm of travel and a perfectly tuned stiffness-to-weight ratio, so it can handle even very rough terrain while remaining precise in steering. The new Grip X shock cartridge was designed for aggressive downhill riding and efficient uphill pedaling, while maintaining intuitive control of settings.
The Float EVOL air spring with a larger negative chamber ensures an extremely sensitive start to the stroke with confidence and support in the mid-stroke, which you will appreciate in fast sections full of roots and rocks. The Series 36's optimized aluminum alloy and magnesium chassis delivers precise tracking, while the Kein Kashima Coat finish on the inner legs minimizes friction and ensures smooth operation even with prolonged use. Internal bypass channels help maintain stable suspension characteristics while fully utilizing the travel without unwanted pressure build-up in the lower legs.
The Grip X cartridge offers separate adjustment of high-speed and low-speed compression as well as low-speed rebound, so that demanding riders can tune the fork exactly to their own preferences. The integrated "Firm Mode" allows the fork to quickly stiffen up before longer or more technical climbs, increasing pedaling efficiency and limiting unwanted sway without completely losing traction. With proper SAG adjustment and regular servicing of the lower legs, the fork remains smooth and reliable over the long term.
