EDELRID Ohmega belay device
A compact and extremely versatile device, suitable for a wide range of users. Whether in climbing gyms, on crags or on alpine sport routes (when using a single rope), it offers real added value in terms of safety and comfort for both the climber and the belayer. It is a benefit for beginners, experienced climbers and professionals, as well as for pairs with or without a weight difference.Thanks to the short HMPE strap and minimal activation distance, it is easier for the belayer to belay dynamically and smoothly, thus reducing the risk of impact injuries. In the event of a fall, the device brakes the fall, supports the belayer and compensates for weight differences – so the belayer is not pulled off the ground even in a large fall. In the case of short falls, the braking effect reduces the risk of collision between the climbing pair and impact of the climber on the ground. The Ohmega reliably brakes even if the climber falls directly onto the device.
