Product description

For the 2015 season, this model is completely innovated. The main qualitative change was recorded by the rims. The profile of the rims is processed by the patented Mavic ISM 4D method. The rim profile is machined in all axes by a special continuous milling cutter. All excess material is removed. The thick wall is maintained only on the braking surfaces and beam attachment points. Mavic did not go the way of further reducing the weight of the rim, but by increasing its strength, durability and reducing air resistance. The front rim is lower and wider (for better and safer front wheel control). The rear rim is narrower and higher, for efficient energy transfer and lower air resistance. A special EXALIT brake layer is applied on the braking surface. Provides reliable and effective braking in all weathers. The layer has a permanent black color that does not wear out. This extends the life of the braking surfaces and the entire rim. The rim design remains black and clean. Special brake pads are always included in the package for the wheels. You can always buy these as spare parts for both Shimano and Campa brakes.

Mavic promotes his own progressive complex product theory. Here he calls WTS = complete entwined wheels, including highly functional, efficient and safe tires. After several years of development, Mavic began working with French Hutchinson. Both wheels and tires are made in Europe. Reliable control, steering of the entire bike and low rolling resistance are guaranteed by the new design of Mavic YKSION PRO tires (developed and manufactured in cooperation with the French Hutchinson). The tires are made especially for the front and rear wheel. YKSION PRO GRIP-link - for the front wheel, guarantees contact, grip and guidance on both dry and wet surfaces. It has a very strong anti-slip layer and a specifically shaped pattern for water drainage. The YKSION PRE Power-link model has been developed for the rear wheels. For the rear wheel, the Mavic prefers good energy transfer, low rolling resistance and long service life. The construction of the cord has a different anti-collision layer, which has less rolling resistance. The shape of the pattern also has a different construction. This drains the water from the sides of the jacket back. This ensures better contact in corners. Due to the lower price, this model does not have shipping bags. You can order these separately. We offer them in sizes 23 and 25 mm.
