Fulcrum Rapid Red 5 DB 28" wheel set

There are many ways to interpret something that happened other than to enjoy a bike ride. For some it represents an opportunity to test oneself, for others it is an alternative choice that offers a world of new possibilities. All this and more are represented by the B-Road or "gravel" Rapid Red 5 DB wheels, which were designed and developed by FULCRUM just for this kind of riding.

When developing the Rapid Red 5 DB wheels, FULCRUM 's research and development department combined all the experience and technical knowledge gained in the creation of bikes for competition bikes and based on them designed a model for use on a non-asphalt surface. Unpaved roads, trails and dirt roads require a wider inner channel – in this case 23mm – with a low, ultra-durable 24mm diameter rim that absorbs shock and provides excellent ride comfort regardless of the stress it is subjected to.
The wheel profile allows the fitting of tubeless tires from 30 to 46 mm with a wide range of settings that can be adjusted according to the type of surface. A solid aluminum hub rests on 24 straight-headed spokes, which is ideal for tackling uneven terrain and carrying the slightly higher weight of a road-ready bike.
