For safety, be sure to read this "user's manual" thoroughly before use, follow it for correct use, and save it so that you can refer back to it at any time.
The following instructions should always be followed in order to prevent personal injury, damage to equipment or damage to the surrounding area. The instructions are classified according to the degree of danger or damage which may occur if the product is used incorrectly.
DANGER – Failure to follow the instructions will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING – Failure to follow the instructions could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION – Failure to follow the instructions could result in personal injury, or physical damage to equipment and surroundings.
WARNING
- Before use, check the wheels to make sure that there are no bent or loose spokes, dents, scratches or cracks on the rim surface. Do not use the wheel if any of these problems are found. The wheel may break and you may fall.
- In the case of carbon wheels, check that there is no peeling or cracking of the carbon.
- If the quick release mechanism is not used correctly, the wheel may come off the bicycle and a serious accident could result. Read the Service Instructions for the quick release mechanism carefully before use.
- If the wheels are used in severe conditions such as on unpaved surfaces, the wheels may become bent or damaged, and an accident may result.
- Before riding the bicycle, check that the wheels are securely fastened. If the quick release lever is not used properly, the wheel may come off and so on, and a serious accident may result from falling.
- Be sure to store the instruction manual in a safe place for future reference after reading it thoroughly.
Rim tape wheel / Tubeless wheel
- The hole on the opposite side of the valve hole is an indication of the amount of rim wear. If this hole is no longer visible, stop using the rim.
If you continue to use the rim, it may break, the bicycle may fall over and an accident may result.
Tube type wheel
- Before riding, check that the tires are securely fitted to the rims. If the tires come off during riding, you may fall and a serious injury may result.
- If the carbon fiber rim brake surfaces become excessively worn, or if the rims become deformed, stop using the bicycle. If you continue to ride the bicycle in this condition, the bicycle may overturn and a serious injury may result.
- This wheel is equipped with a quick release hub for easy installation and removal.
- Failure to properly install this quick release hub (wheel) to the bicycle can cause the wheel to disengage from the bicycle while riding, resulting in serious personal injury.
- Use a front fork equipped with a wheel retention mechanism.
CAUTION
- The tires must be inflated to the pressure indicated on the tires before use.
- Be aware that a higher rim is more affected by cross winds and causes unstable handling.
- If you use a puncture repair agent, please consult the place of purchase or a bicycle dealer.
- Tighten and loosen the quick release lever by hand only. Never use tools such as a hammer to tighten the quick release lever, as this may cause damage.
