Taipan is unlike any other cloak Hutchinson has ever developed, starting from scratch. The idea was to create tires ideal for XCs that will excel in a variety of conditions. Traditionally, the construction of MTB tires is limited to certain terrain or conditions, either dry, muddy, rocky or wet. Taipan uniquely bridges all these conditions, thanks to its unique tread and staircase design. Wide spreads help drain mud. They have excellent traction and hold the stems even in curves on a rocky surface. The contact layer is also covered with 3 mm high pegs, thanks to which the casing has a low rolling resistance. But traction is only half the story. What moves must stop once - thanks to the specifically sloping protrusions on the steps, the tire has very good braking properties.

29" Hutchinson
The brand Hutchinson was established in 1893 in France, and they produce tires for all types of bikes. One of their milestones in their history is the patented kevlar guard layer in one of their road tire in 1988. Hutchinson was the first to supply the market with tubeless MTB tires and road tires since 2006. Many wins on Tour de France, the Olympics and new speed records were made with this brand.
