Tires for children's and city bikes

When choosing tires, the correct size is important, most often given as inner diameter of the tire and its width (in mm or inches). Smaller wheel sizes can be found on children's bikes, BMX, but also various city, mini or folding bikes, or even mopeds, carts and buggies. City bike tires typically come in a variety of widths, with wider tires offering more comfort and narrower tires focusing on speed. Some may also have puncture-resistant layers, to increase durability and reduce the probability of a puncture while driving in the city.

Tires for children's bikes are adapted for younger riders and are made with an emphasis on safety, durability, and ease of use. These tires are often wider to provide stability for young riders who are just learning their balance. The pattern is designed to provide good grip on a variety of surfaces, including pavement and light off-road.
