A multi-purpose belay device with an innovative and compact design (registered design), suitable for use with half, double and single ropes for mountaineering, multi-pitch sport climbing and traditional routes. Intuitive and easy to use, the BE UP belay has a modular braking system that optimizes braking with all types of ropes and enables automatic blocking and independent belaying of two co-climbers.

Parameters, certification and legislation

  • For use with double or half dynamic ropes with a diameter of 7.3-9.0 mm.
  • For use with a single dynamic rope with a diameter of 8.5-10.5 mm.
  • The body of the arrester is hot forged from light alloy - light and extremely functional for the best performance.
  • Part of the body is an eye for attachment to the stand when belaying a second climber in GUIDE mode.
  • Part of the arrester is a plasticized steel cable, which eliminates excessive mobility of the arrester during belaying and ensures easier handling so that the arrester does not accidentally drop.
  • Weight of the separate cooler: 85 g
