BEAL Birdie safety device
Compact, simple belay device with assisted brake for belaying the first climber or via the "top rope" (for fishing). The entire structure of the fuse is metal. Internal connecting parts + dynamic cam and friction hammer are made of stainless steel to increase durability. The rope passes in the axis of the guard - so there is no twisting of the rope when it rubs over the edge, as is the case with other manufacturers.Birdie is compatible with single dynamic ropes from 8.5 mm (BEAL Opera) to 10.5 mm (BEAL TopGun) in diameter. The belay is secured with the help of a connecting carabiner only after the rope has been established. It is therefore not possible to open the fuse in any way during operation.
