The ultra-powerful rechargeable lamp Fenix ​​LR40R V2.0 brings an extreme luminous flux of up to 15,000 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of up to 900 meters. It achieves this performance with the help of one Luminus SFT-70 premium LED and sixteen Lumileds HL2X LEDs, which are powered by an internal high-current Li-ion battery with a capacity of 54 Wh (5000 mAh /10.8 V). The battery is charged directly in the lamp via a modern USB-C connector. The lamp is controlled by a rotary selector, which can be used to choose between lighting with a wide cone (up to 12,000 lm) and a long-distance reflector (up to 3,000 lm), or both at the same time (15,000 lm together). In addition, there is a strobe light and SOS for emergency situations.

The lamp is equipped with five indicator LEDs that show the battery charge status. In addition, the lamp can also be used as a power bank in an emergency and charge other USB devices from it. Despite the enormous power, the lamp retains surprisingly compact dimensions, the length is only 17.5 centimeters and the weight is 843 grams including the battery. This searchlight is suitable, for example, for guarding large areas, official use or search and rescue operations, and also for all lighting enthusiasts.

All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

The use

The lamp has a rotary selector that has four positions: off/locked - long beam on - wide beam on - combined beam on. As long as the rotary selector is in the locked position, turning it to the appropriate mode turns on the light - long-distance reflector on the lowest mode, wide reflector and a combination of both in the last used mode. The power modes of the respective reflectors are cyclically switched by short presses of the central button. The strobe will turn on by holding the center button for at least 1.2 seconds, another short press will switch to SOS, and another press will return to the last selected constant light mode. If the rotary selector is not in the lock position, you can turn the light off and on by holding down the center button for about 0.5 seconds.

The control buttons can be locked by switching the rotary selector to the lock position to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transported in luggage.

The proximity sensor in the reflector automatically reduces the output to 50 lumens when the lamp approaches an object to less than about 6-8 centimeters (prevents damage to the object by strong light and glare by reflected light). This feature can be turned on/off by holding down the center button for at least 10 seconds with the light unlocked.

Charging - unfold the rubber cover of the charging connector and plug the cable into the USB-C connector in the lamp. The indicator LEDs will flash from left to right to show the charging status. As soon as they all stay lit, the lamp is fully charged. During charging, only the wide cone can be turned on in the lowest mode of 100 lumens. After charging is complete, seal the connector thoroughly with a rubber cap. Not only common USB adapters and power banks can be used for charging, but also fast charging adapters with QC2.0 and PD2.0 protocols, which will be automatically detected. Charging time is around 4 hours, depending on the power of the source used.

Charging external USB devices ( powebank function ) - unfold the rubber cover of the USB connector and connect the device you want to charge to the USB-A connector of the lamp with a suitable USB cable. To activate the powerbank function, you need to briefly press the middle button. After charging starts, the indicator LEDs start flashing from right to left and show the battery status. You can use all lighting modes while charging. After charging, do not forget to properly seal the USB connector with a rubber cap.

Battery charge status indication - after a short press of the central button, the indicator LEDs light up for 3 seconds and display the battery charge status. Five lit LEDs means that the battery is charged to more than 80%, four lit 60-80%, three lit 40-60%, two 20-40% and one diode means that the battery is charged to less than 20%.

Intelligent protection against overheating - after exceeding the temperature of 60 °C, the lamp automatically gradually reduces the power in small steps, after cooling down you can increase the power again.
