Fenix HM70R rechargeable headlamp + E-Lite flashlight
Discounted set of Fenix HM70R headlamp and Fenix E-lite mini flashlight.Fenix HM70R is an extremely powerful rechargeable headlamp that offers a luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens. The package also includes a rechargeable Li-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. The headlamp is equipped with several light sources, in the remote reflector there is an LED Luminus SST-40, which illuminates up to a distance of 186 meters. In the second, wide reflector, a Cree XP-G2 HE LED with a warmer shade (neutral white) with an output of 400 lumens is installed, which has a very wide and smooth light trail. The headlamp also has a red light with a power of 5 lumens. With red light, it is able to shine at the lowest mode for almost 17 days and can flash continuously for more than 33 days.
The light aluminum alloy construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling, and at the same time it is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water. The Fenix HM70R headlamp is an excellent choice for all those who demand top performance and extreme battery life. Cyclists, speleologists, mountain guides, ski alpinists, climbers, rescuers, but also workers in industries and ordinary tourists or fishermen will definitely appreciate it.
All parameters of the lamp (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
For power, it uses one rechargeable Li-ion battery 21700, which is included in the package. In case of emergency, it is also possible to use one Li-ion 18650 battery, but it is necessary to purchase an additional ALF-18 reduction.
The Fenix APB-30 case, a USB power adapter and a USB car adapter can be purchased for the headlamp. For easy attachment to the helmet, the Fenix ALG-03 holder can be purchased.
Parameters of the Fenix HM70R rechargeable headlamp
- A powerful Cree XP-G2 HE LED with a neutral shade of white light, a Luminus SST-40 LED with a daytime shade of white light and two complementary red Everlight 2835 LEDs with a lifespan of 50,000 hours are used.
- Remote spotlight: 1600 lumens (4 hours) -> 500 lumens (6 hours) -> 150 lumens (30 hours) -> 30 lumens (100 hours).
- Wide reflector: 400 lumens (8 hours) -> 70 lumens (48 hours) -> red 5 lumens (400 hours) -> red flashing 5 lumens ( 800 hours ).
- Luminous flux and duration times are measured with the included Li-ion battery 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh.
The use
From the factory, there may be a white insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Before first use , remove it from the battery.- When the headlamp is turned off, it will turn on the last used high beam mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is off, it switches to the last used wide beam mode with a quick double press of the button.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
- With the headlamp on, you can switch between the high beam and wide beam by holding down the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to start both reflectors at the same time.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status in the button is activated. A green light means the battery is 85-100% charged, a flashing green light means 50-85%, a red light 25-50%, a flashing red light indicates less than 25%.
Headlamp lock against unwanted start-up: Loosen the headlamp battery cap a quarter of a turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the lamp flashes red. To unlock, hold the button for 3 seconds again.
Overheat protection: If the headlamp temperature exceeds 65°C, it will automatically reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 65 °C, it is possible to use the highest power mode again.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp automatically switches to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically discharged, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the charging USB-C cable into the headlamp and its other end into the USB connector of the computer, network USB adapter or USB car adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. The side button lights up red while charging and turns green when fully charged. The charging time of a fully discharged battery takes about 4 hours. The used Li-ion battery does not suffer from a memory effect, so the headlamp can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty - charge it or replace it.
- The headlight cap is enabled - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The long-distance reflector creates a light cone with an afterglow of 186 meters (8667 cd), the wide reflector shines up to a distance of 38 meters (352 cd), the red light has an afterglow of 5 meters (8 cd)
