In the most sensitive zones, the jacket contains a SWISSWOOL® insulation layer with a weight of 70 g/m². Individual insulation panels are formed by sheets hidden in flexible and wind-resistant material TEC-STRETCH.
In the MERINO FLEECE line, ORTOVOX combines the advantages of Merino wool with a durable polyester outer surface. The uniqueness of the MERINO FLEECE GRID material lies in the waffle structure on the inside, thanks to which the material is not only light and highly breathable, but also perfectly insulates and dries quickly.
SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from strips of Swiss wool. These are placed in the individual panels of the jacket, thanks to which they stay in place and do not move. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, because wool absorbs up to 35% of moisture into its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. Moreover, compared to synthetic insulation material, it degrades only negligibly and retains its properties for many years.

SWISSWOOL® – the story of renewed Swiss sheep breeding
Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetics. The hair of Swiss sheep is an example of this.
