Running backpacks have elements of a running vest, but also of a classic small hiking backpack. Compared to a running vest, they are larger, heavier, made of stronger materials. The main advantage is mainly their volume, which is usually larger and is around 10-20 liters. This will be especially appreciated by runners who want to carry more equipment that cannot fit in a running vest.
