The concept remains unchanged, following the extreme popularity of gravel bikes. For running shoes, this means a light and agile construction, familiar from road models, but adapted to handle light trails without batting an eyelid.
The outsole made of G-GRIP graphene compound has a fine tread pattern that holds and lasts excellently on asphalt and is also reliable on light terrain. The 4-millimeter grip depth, thanks to its aggressive shaping, is sufficient for running on country and forest roads, or paths. The density of the tread pattern then ensures a large contact area, which won't disappoint even on wet smooth asphalt, where classic trail shoes often have major problems.
The cushioning layer is made of G-FLY graphene foam, which gives the shoe comfort, stability, and dynamics. The cushioning thickness in the heel reaches 18 mm with an 8 mm drop. Thanks to the properties of G-FLY, especially its shape retention and high elasticity, the PARKCLAW G 280 feels much lower. As a result, you get a shoe with top-notch comfort even on very long road runs, but with very high flexibility, sensitivity, and proprioception. These features will help you not only read and feel the terrain under your feet but also work on your running technique, as the feedback is immediate and precise despite the higher cushioning layer.
The upper is made of a structured mesh with light instep stabilization and a more massive toe bumper. The result is a light and highly durable upper that doesn't hinder even a brisk pace and at the same time deals with unevenness and obstacles much better than a purely road variant. Here too, elements known from road shoes are used, adapted for the needs of running on light terrain.
In short, a universal gravel concept in body and soul.
