Belay device with intuitive operation, allows for lightning-fast rope feeding to the climber without jamming, easy and smooth lowering, has an auto-locking function with dynamic slip for fall arrest. These are the main advantages of the Smart 2.0. Using the Smart 2.0 for belaying significantly increases your safety. Ingeniously simple construction without moving cams and levers. Clever cutouts in the body of the belay device, together with the HMS carabiner, form the self-locking mechanism itself. Thanks to this, the belay device is pleasantly small, light, and at the same time reliable.
Carabiner Mammut Smart HMS:
Carabiner with a plastic position retainer in the harness. This prevents the carabiner from getting twisted and always ensures it functions 100%. The retainer also acts as a lock against unintentional unscrewing of the gate lock. At the same time, it indicates its correct locking.
Mammut Smarter training device:
The Smarter training device is used to learn the correct rope feeding techniques during belaying. The device can be detached from the belay device at any time.
Note:
The belayer must always have control of the belay rope. When lowering, press the lever upwards to release the rope, and lowering then proceeds as with a bucket. The advantage is that the rope constantly passes through your hand, so it is always under control.
