These are the main advantages of the Smart 2.0. Using the Smart 2.0 for belaying significantly increases your safety. Ingeniously simple construction without moving parts and joints. Clever cutouts in the belay device body, together with the HMS carabiner, form the self-locking mechanism itself. Thanks to this, the belay device is pleasantly small, light, and at the same time reliable.
The Smart HMS carabiner with a plastic position retainer in the harness. This prevents the carabiner from getting jammed and always fulfills its function 100%. The retainer also acts as a lock against unintentional unscrewing of the lock's safety nut. At the same time, it indicates its correct locking.
