BEAL Birdie belay device

Compact, simple belay device with assisted braking for belaying the leader or 'top rope'. The entire construction of the belay device is metal. Internal connecting parts + dynamic cam and friction pawl are made of stainless steel for increased durability. The rope passes through the axis of the belay device - thus the rope does not twist when rubbing over an edge as is the case with other manufacturers.



Birdie is compatible with single dynamic ropes from 8.5 mm (BEAL Opera) to 10.5 mm (BEAL TopGun). The belay device is secured using the connecting carabiner only after the rope has been inserted. Therefore, the belay device cannot be opened in any way during operation.

SK Za mňa super istítko, pevné kovové telo, páčka takisto kovová, dobré na istenie prvolezca aj na top rope, používam aj na zlanenie na jednom prúde aj pri žumare, bezpečné aj pre začiatočníkov, navyše farebné :P
