The women's shorts are perfect for demanding summer expeditions. Thanks to the unique combination of synthetic and natural fibers in the MERINO SHIELD ULTRA LIGHT material, the shorts are simultaneously lightweight, durable, and comfortable. The shorts are adapted for demanding movement thanks to the material processed with the 4-way-stretch method, and the DWR surface treatment ensures reliable water repellency. You will appreciate them everywhere from mountain races to long summer alpine tours.



The ORTOVOX PIZ SELVA SHORTS W women's shorts were made with an emphasis on minimalism and functionality - they offer basic functions that are perfected to be reliable even on hot summer days.



Durability and comfort

Thanks to their length and loose fit, the ORTOVOX PIZ SELVA SHORTS are especially suitable for those who want to move through rough terrain quickly and lightly. However, low weight in this case definitely does not mean low durability. In the standardized Martindale abrasion test, the material used withstood more than 30,000 cycles, which is a respectable performance. The elastic waistband is even more comfortable than ever thanks to Tasmanian merino wool - thanks to its ability to wick away sweat and regulate temperature, you will always be dry and comfortable. The shorts are also equipped with two pockets suitable for essential small items.



Highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years.



Properties of Merino wool:

  • It can naturally regulate moisture - it absorbs moisture into its internal structure and remains dry on the surface.
  • It can naturally regulate body temperature - it has a wide thermoregulatory range.
  • It is 100% environmentally friendly and is ecologically sustainable.
  • It has antibacterial properties, thanks to which it can neutralize odors.
  • It is soft, non-itchy, and comfortable to wear.
  • It is low-maintenance and has a long lifespan.
ORTOVOX has demanding criteria for sheep farming itself, which significantly affects the quality of its wool. To meet these, ORTOVOX buys wool only from a few selected farms that are subject to regular inspection and that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.

  • ORTOVOX sources new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal welfare.
  • Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand in terms of quality.
These farms are regularly monitored within the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological, and therefore also extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a soft feel thanks to the fine fibers from which fine woolen yarns are made. Furthermore, this wool excellently regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition to all this, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.



Uncompromising two-year warranty

ORTOVOX products are manufactured to the highest quality, which is why resolving any complaint is really simple. If you discover a manufacturing defect, whether it's a fraying seam or external pilling, just send us the product and we will take care of its repair, replacement, or refund. For out-of-warranty repairs, ORTOVOX has its own service center where everything can be repaired.

It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims.
