Introducing the new generation of ROCLITE PRO G 400 with a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane.ROCLITE PRO G 400 is not just a high-top running shoe. When developing this model, the manufacturer made sure that every element functions perfectly for specific outdoor use without compromising the INOV-8 DNA, which is deeply rooted in superior ground-feel, great flexibility, and maintaining natural foot function.
The new, second generation of this popular trekking shoe features a completely redesigned upper. It remains just as spacious and comfortable, but is now made of extremely durable ripstop fabric that can withstand even the toughest terrain and does not absorb water, so the shoes won't weigh you down when moving in wet conditions. The heel shape has also been modified for more secure foot lockdown.
The outsole features a new generation ROCLITE tread applied to a thinner base layer than ever before. This results in superior grip, which you can rely on with ROCLITE family models, while achieving significantly lower weight.
The midsole has an 8mm drop and is built on the proven 12/20mm geometry. However, all similarity with previous ROCLITE models ends there. The major innovation is the use of a META-PLATE PRO carbon reinforcement, which transitions seamlessly from protecting the forefoot and midfoot to an external heel counter. This unique construction effectively connects the entire shoe from toe to heel for superior proprioception, stability, and foot protection.
The upper is built on a 4mm wide last (standard fit), so your transverse arches will have enough space for natural movement even on all-day hikes. The high-top upper with a hiking-style lacing can be easily tightened to make ankle twists a distant memory, allowing you to descend even the most technical terrain with confidence and assurance.
As a result, we get a shoe that, with its construction and functional properties, is much closer to hiking boots than running shoes, but compared to hiking boots, it offers significantly lower weight and, above all, incomparably better ground-feel and natural behavior while walking and running.
The main domain of ROCLITE PRO G 400 GTX are short and longer hikes where walking prevails over running, but occasional jogging is not a problem thanks to the balanced ratio of flexibility and stability.
