Mountain Equipment Senja Women's Jacket

The Mountain Equipment SENJA WOMEN'S JACKET is the golden mean. It is not the lightest, but it will impress you with its abrasion resistance and weather resistance, and it offers enough thermal insulation for typical Alpine and Tatra conditions. The 700 cuin fill power down is protected by the DRILITE® Loft 40 D waterproof membrane, so wet snow or drizzle stand no chance.



DRILITE® Loft 40 D – water and wind resistant

DRILITE® Loft 40D is a strong and light (63 g/m2) waterproof face fabric with a PU coating. It is highly breathable and resistant to water and wind. It also has a DWR water-repellent finish on the surface, which further helps to keep the down dry even in damp conditions. The down is thus protected from getting wet, and therefore from losing its thermal insulation properties. Thanks to its water resistance and low weight, the down maintains high loft for maximum thermal insulation in any conditions.



High-quality duck down with 700+ fill power

Very high-quality duck down from China contains at least 90% down, has a fill power of at least 700 cuin, and meets the ethical DOWN CODEX® standard. The down is gently processed without chemical treatment. This reduces dust mites and their living environment, which is appreciated by allergy sufferers. The down retains its important natural oils and loft, is well packable, has high insulation, and low weight.



DOWN CODEX® – a symbol of ethical approach to animal husbandry

DOWN CODEX® is a certification of the origin of down, its quality, and the ethical and ecological approach to animal husbandry. Every year, the farms from which Mountain Equipment sources down are inspected by the independent Swiss organization IDFL to meet the highest quality parameters. This guarantees high quality of animal living conditions, and therefore the quality of the down. One does not work without the other.



Down jacket with DRILITE® Loft 40 D waterproof material

The outer fabric is made of DRILITE® Loft 40 D polyamide material, which protects the down from getting wet, and therefore from losing its thermal insulation properties. At the same time, this fabric allows for maximum loft (puffiness of the chambers) of the down, which significantly enhances its thermal insulation properties.



Each chamber is filled separately with down with a minimum ratio of 90/10 and excellent fill power of 700 cuin. The last chamber has a special shape that seals the area around the waist and minimizes heat loss. The bottom hem can be further tightened using ingenious drawcords, which are very intuitive to use. The jacket contains a total of 195 g of down, which is a sufficient amount to serve you on really cold days in the mountains. So don't be afraid to take it to the demanding conditions of European mountains.



Mountain HC hood – helmet compatible

The hood with an elasticated hem is easily adjustable using the rear drawcord with an elasticated cord and a plastic toggle. It fits well with or without a helmet. The hood's elastic drawcords are sewn into channels so they don't bother you in the wind.
