Petzl SUMMIT ice axe
A classic ice axe for alpine and glacier hiking, offering an excellent balance between price and performance. It is lightweight and offers good blade and tip grip ; it is curved to provide the necessary hand space in steep terrain.It can be used in ice axe-canne or ice axe-rampe mode, as well as in ice axe-traction mode on short, steep sections. It is lightweight, but with enough weight in the head for a good hook.
